So I'm at a friends house right now and I really want to be up at my church, but my friend is gone and everyone else is asleep. So blogging was my next option. Wow it has been a pretty long time since I last blogged, and since then an enormous weight has been lifted off my shoulders. For a while there I felt trapped in a spiritual rut, but now I feel rejuvinated for doing God's will. Speaking of which I love God.

God. What defines God? My answer would be love (1 John 4:16) But through just the awesome things God has shown me, we as humans don't really know who God is. Maybe it's just a lack of understanding, or maybe it's a laziness that has worked it's way inside of us.

I don't know, and I am sorry for just going off on random things!  Well I hope you all have a super Sunday and I just pray that God will bless you all!!!!

    Wow its been a while!!!

Hey, whats up!!!! Sorry it's been forever...yeah I've been sitting in front of my computer screen for at least a couple hours stuck in the middle of writers block (the most horrible feeling in the world.) So I decided to stop and blog on here for a second. Yeah so in June I went to camp and the theme was "Decrease me" and it was based out of John 3:30. It was really cool to see how people's lives changed and how God was working in my life. I personally walked up to everyone there and introduced myself and it was really cool because I met a bunch of nice people that before camp I probably wouldn't have given them the time of day. So yeah that was definately a huge highlight this summer because of how awesome it was. Well I hope to get on again soon...ya'll take it easy!!!

  • So I've been taking a walk down Romans and I can't help to stop and think that God is so just indescribable. I've been reading the beginning of Romans and about Romans 3 it really starts to get deep about how smart and how wonderful God's plans are. I mean I've been reading through it (chapter 5 is one of the coolest) and it just really talks about how God didn't give of the law so we could become self-righteous and raise ourselves above others but he gave us the law so we would know that we are sinners, and that were not perfect (even though we'd like to think we are.) It gets better though because since we know were sinners what hope do we have, well thats where the juiciness comes. You because we are sinners we are filled with death because sin is our downfall (see Romans 5: 12.) But because Christ came we have been shown the grace of God and it is just an astounding gift because we are all sinners and Jesus, who is the perfect son of God, came anhd bled and died for us. So to wrap up this is all so astronomical because what Romans 5: 20-21 says: "The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternallife through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Now I knew all these basic concepts of our faith, but just reading it in the context in which Paul rights it, it truly shows me why we are priveleged to have God's amazing gift of grace through his extraordinary son Jesus Christ. So I thought I might share that and encourage ya'll to read Romans because as I read it, it changes my life!

  • What are the best and worst things about your job?

Well I'm a student, and I have to say that school isn't half as bad as people make it out to be! Now I do agree there are some pretty dumb and boring classes out there that even I don't like. For example, I took a PAP Biology class this year and the teacher was absolutely horrendous!!! Now I didn't hate her, but I didn't agree with what she taught and said. At the beginning of class she told us that if any one of us brought up religion we would be in trouble, but everyday we had discussions and a lot of them were about scientific politics, and evolution. And when we really got into the juicy conversations of evolution she would always say that there was no scientific proof for God, and she said that evolution was the only thing that had been scientifically proven. The sad thing about it was that some kids in my class who proclaimed that they were Christians actually started to agree with things that she was saying. Needless to say it was very saddening to see that she was leading my peers and herself down into a world of hurt. But as I said before being a student isn't always that bad. I remember talking to a lot of my Christian teachers and they were always comforting and it was a real joy to talk to them. Also high school has provided me with an enormous oppurtunity to share my testimony and the testimony of our Lord and Savior!!! So I thank God for the "ups" because they help keep me encouraged and moving along through the day, and I also thank Him for the "downs" because those are the moments of my life that really humble me and show me what God has planned for me!!!
